been an avid reader of your column ever since I was in junior high I am now 30 years old The problem: I am in love with a man and the situation is hopeless We are both married ask me how it happened I have been his patient for six years and we became intimate this past sum mer Please suggest I see a psychiatrist because he is one I am emotionally ill and have been unable to work for two years I tried suicide three times in the last 18 months I think about it constantly as the only way to escape the agony I am suffering I went psychiatrist three years ago when I began to suspect I was falling is guilty of violating one of the basic principles of professional ethics He should be reported to the American Psychiatric Assn but I'm sure you do it so get down to some practical advice: You will
